Dealing with the repairer yourself gives you full knowledge of the repairs being carried out and a one-on-one dealing with the technician repairing your bike.

In the unlikely event of an accident, you should follow the checklist below:

1. Checking that all parties are OK, remove the motorcycle(s) and loose parts that may be a danger to any further collisions. If any parties are hurt in the accident, the police should be contacted at the scene.
2. You will have to exchange insurance and personal details.
3. If the bike(s) is not drivable, contact your insurance company and they will organise a tow truck and have the bike(s) towed to your repairer.
4. Lodging the claim with your insurance company is next. This can be done over the phone or by filling out a claim form which your insurance company will send to you.
5. Your insurance company will ask you to get quotes for the repairs to your bike. This is where your repairer takes over the claim; they will quote the repairs and send it with your claim form or claim number to your insurance company. We will follow up your insurance company and book assessments when necessary.
6. Once repairs are authorised, we will give you an accurate time for repairs to be complete.
